Maui Tacos baby!!!

This week Gale, Kristy, and Rebecca went on another tasty adventure in the wilds known as the Mililani Shopping Center. While in the vast wilderness of restaurants, supermarkets, and video rental stores, they stumbled upon the elusive, but deadly, Maui Tacos.

At first, the encounter was calm and peaceful as they meandered in its habitat among the other various restaurants, but soon they were shocked, surprised, and thrown off guard by the bold colors and spicy smells of the Maui Tacos restaurant.

Kristie ordered an enchillada, while Rebecca order the #1 soft chicken tacos with refried beans and rice. She also picked up a batch of the xxxxxxx Avocado salsa. Kristie was worried at first about what Becca was getting herself into, but Becca assured her that she could handle it. Gale later walked in and ordered her usual, but tempting chicken nachos.

The gang then settled at the nearby Starbucks to group and enjoy their meal. Gale ordered a Tazo® Passion™ Shaken Iced Tea, while Kristie ordered a tall Green Tazo Tea. Becca had her regular bottled water.

All was well, until another bombshell struck us. The elusive and dangerous Maui Tacos got her order wrong! Instead of chicken nachos, Gale was succumbed by a fate known as "the wrong order!" Gale was given beef nachos instead. However, Gale, brave and steadfast, said she would eat it anyway. So, we all enjoyed our meals and drinks, and survived another adventure in the Sunday lunch wilderness.

Mililani Restaurant and Starbucks

If you like Korean food, try Mililani Barbecue, located in the heart of the Mililani Town Center. Gale, Rebecca, and Kristie recently went to this wondrous confection and had a bit of Korea right in their own mouths.

Gale ordered the Mandoo Soup. “If you are a mandoo lover, you can have it fried or in a soup! Even on a hot day it’s delicious,” Gale said. Smiling, she also mentioned that each bite melted into her mouth as the mandoo flavor overtook her many senses. Kristie had the crispy, hot Meat Jun. Kristie said, “It was the right combination of egg and meat!” Rebecca had the spicy hot chicken. “Yum!” she said. Apparently flavor and taste knows no bounds on a sunny Hawaiian afternoon in Mililani.

To cool off, the trio went to the Mililani Town Center Starbucks. Gale bought the obligatory usual, tall, non-fat, caramel macchiato. Gale always recommends coming here. Everybody knows her name at this particular Starbucks and the caramel macchiato is no stranger to Gale’s repertoire of taste sensations within her library of foods she likes. Kristie says, “I like the Shaken Ice Tea Lemonade. It’s better shaken than stirred! Too bad I cannot shake it myself.” Rebecca usually likes her Chamomile tea. “It’s relaxing! How could I not have one?!”

So this concludes our first journal entry. Stay tuned for many more exciting adventures from the trio to come….
